New Metallic Finishes by Adelphi Kitchens & Cabinetry
Robesonia, Pa., May 1, 2008 — Adelphi Kitchens & Cabinetry is serving up an assortment of new metallic glazes, one of the hottest trends in kitchens this year sure to enhance the style of any custom kitchen.
“Our new line of metallic glazes expands the options of colors, textures and special effects to enhance a home’s cabinetry and unique style. Metallic glazes can transform dull to brilliant, renewing the room’s sense of sophistication and character – and the home’s value,” said Stratton Yatron, co-owner and chief financial officer, Adelphi Kitchens & Cabinetry.
Adelphi offers an array of metallic glaze colors: Silver Striping, Copper Striping, Champagne Glaze and Mocha Glaze. They are available on all cabinetry styles and any wood species. Because the consistency of glazing varies greatly depending on the wood species and door design chosen, there is an endless array of combinations to create the style that reflects the homeowners’ personal style.
Applied over black paint, a low-sheen Silver Striping glaze gives the cabinetry a handcrafted design for a more contemporary flare, especially on simple cabinetry styles with sleek designs like Heritage.
For more of an ornate, old-world feel, Copper Striping on Sage paint prominently highlights the delicate beading on Newberry style cabinetry. Copper Striping creates a much different look on Dove, a soft white colored paint, creating a more muted and elegant style.
When finished with Champagne Glaze, Dove appears soft with a subtle shimmer on light-toned wood, such as birch, and creates a craftsmen touch when it is hand-applied to Richmond style cabinetry. Adelphi applies all glazes by hand and can vary the amount and the character of the finish to help the designer and homeowner achieve the result which they desire.
A full-cover, low-sheen Mocha Glaze finish on Snowcap white birch cabinets gives the room an upscale, luxurious look – especially on a style like Adelphi’s Churchill. The subtle shadowing of Mocha Glaze on light colored cabinetry helps accentuate design elements but in a subtle, understated way.
“We specialize in producing the fine custom cabinetry – from inspiration to installation – that suits consumers’ individual lifestyles,” said Yatron. Once consumers find their look, Adelphi encourages them to contact their Adelphi retailer for advice on starting the process and to get samples made of particular woods and glazes, allowing them to see an accurate depiction of their custom creation.
