MOSAIC Group [Architects and Remodelers] Wins Two Remodeling Awards Using Custom Craftsmanship of Adelphi Kitchens & Cabinetry
Robesonia, Pa., September 1, 2009 — MOSAIC Group [Architects and Remodelers] won two Chrysalis Awards, which recognize the finest remodeling projects in the nation, for its kitchen remodel that used Adelphi Kitchens & Cabinetry for its custom cabinetry solutions.
“The award is definitely a testament to MOSAIC Group’s quality of work and their ingenuity,” said Stratton Yatron, co-owner and chief financial officer, Adelphi Kitchens & Cabinetry.
The renovation was judged on the use of materials, the use of space, integration into the existing space, quality of design and creativity. “With custom styles and sizes, we’re able to give our interior design and remodeling professionals the ultimate flexibility – with custom colors and finishes and sizes that can be specified down to fractions of an inch,” said Yatron.
Made for a family with two sets of twins, organization was the homeowners’ number one priority of the kitchen remodel. “Every layer of the project was designed for efficiency and maximizing storage space,” said Catherine Trugman, interior designer, MOSAIC Group [Architects and Remodelers].
The existing kitchen was cramped and isolated from other rooms of the house. With only one window looking out to the garage, the room was dark and outdated. MOSAIC Group [Architects and Remodelers] chose custom cabinetry from Adelphi Kitchens & Cabinetry to maximize space and organization. An island was installed for additional seating and storage, which featured Adelphi’s Legacy doors from the Ridgewood series with a Cherry Wellington finish and crowned with Creative Stone’s Giallo Ornamental granite countertops.
Using soft neutral tones to lighten the room, the white birch Adelphi cabinetry was custom painted to compliment the fresh white walls. The clean lines of Renaissance Tile’s handmade “Nest” tile in the backsplash and Masterpiece Lighting fixtures gave the kitchen a contemporary look.
MOSAIC Group [Architects and Remodelers] incorporated a very small, 60-square-foot addition which opened up the room and created the new space for a mud room. The kitchen is now open to the rest of the house. It has an entire wall of Monarch wood windows and a French door that overlook the backyard where the children play. Kitchen appliances by Dacor and Kitchen Aid put the final touches to make the space tastefully practical.
“The relationship between the kitchen and the other active areas in and around the house truly make this room the hub of the home,” said William Fadul, co-owner, MOSAIC Group [Architects and Remodelers]. “Now the kitchen is both beautiful and functional for this active family. It’s been a huge transformation for the family.”
MOSAIC Group [Architects and Remodelers] Design/Build entry of its remodeled kitchen was a category winner of the 2009 Kitchen Remodel Over $100,000 category and was a National winner. The Chrysalis Awards honor the finest remodeling projects in the nation that reflect professional excellence in the residential and commercial remodeling industry.
